Public health screening, especially for rural and tribal schoolchildren, can benefit from non-invasive blood Hb measurement and anemia detection. The proposed device will be affordable, portable, easy to use for children, with zero biomedical waste. Anemia can be detected and classified as microcytic, normocytic, or macrocytic by the device. It could efficiently test anemia in large rural/tribal children populations and follow up in real-time.
